Whiteford DQ'd while 1 shot off pace

Scotland's Peter Whiteford was left gutted after he was disqualified from the Avantha Masters when only one shot off the lead in the final round. After leading the tournament for the first 2 rounds, Whiteford came unstuck when he accidentally moved his ball on his final hole during round 3 without realising so. He should have incurred a one shot penalty but as he didn't realise he signed for the wrong score, Peter was disqualified. This was a great opportunity for another Scottish victory but hopefully he can bounce straight back.
