Becoming a Member, Registering and Logging in
What are the benefits of becoming a member?
- You get to play golf at some of the finest golf courses in Scotland with a minimum of 50% off the full greenfee.
- You can sign up to a free newsletter which is packed with information and includes golfing hints and tips from our own PGA Golf Professional.
- Membership is free.
- There is no booking fee when booking the tee time.
- You do not need to make a long term commitment to a golf booking.
How do I Register?
You can register by clicking the ‘sign up free’ button on the home page and follow the simple step by step instructions.
How do I subscribe to lateTtimes’ free email newsletter?
You firstly need to be a member of www.lateTtimes.co.uk.
You will be asked when you are signing up to becoming a member of lateTtimes if you wish to receive our free email newsletter. If so, click the box indicated to say you do.
If you did not subscribe initially but then wish to do so, log in to your account and ammend to recieve the email newsletter.
How do I unsubscribe to the lateTtimes’ free newsletter?
Simply sign into your account and unclick the box to select our email newsletter.
I forgot my password, what do I do?
Select 'my account', then enter your email address and click 'forgotten password'. Your password will be sent to your email address.
How do I change my details, etc?
Once you have signed in to your account, select 'edit my details'. Make any necessary changes and click the 'update' button.
Course/Tee Time Availability & Rates
Can I book at any golf course on lateTtimes?
You can book any golf course which is signed up to the website as long as they have advertised a tee time which is still available. Every course signed up must advertise a minimum of 2 tee times per week, between 1 and 7 days before the tee time. So it is just a matter of continually checking to see what is available.
How far in advance can I book a tee time?
The furthest in advance you can book a tee time is 7 days. This however is dependent on the golf club as they are only required to advertise tee times between 1 and 7 days prior to the tee time.
Why do tee times appear and disappear?
Tee times will disappear when someone has started the process of purchasing it. If this person hasn’t completed the transaction within 15minutes it will reappear back for sale.
Is there a booking fee?
There is no booking fee for using lateTtimes. You will only pay what is stated as the price of the greenfee.
What deposit do you take?
When booking a tee time, lateTtimes will charge a non refundable 10% deposit, with the exception of ‘course closure/exceptional circumstances’ (see terms & conditions). The remaining 90% will be paid direct to the golf club on arrival.
Finding, Booking, Changing and Cancelling Tee Times
How do I search for tee times?
You can do a quick search in ‘find tee times’ which simply asks for your postcode, distance you are willing to travel and date. Or you can do a more refined search by clicking the ‘search’ tab then entering the information in the required fields.
Can I only book golf tee times on this website?
You can only book golf tee times on lateTtimes.
What information do I need to book a tee time?
If you are doing a quick search the only information you need is your postcode, distance willing to travel and date of play. If you are carrying out an advanced search, there are different fields you can fill to narrow your search to something specific. They include date, golf club, distance, course type and region.
Will I be able to see information about the golf course that I am considering booking at?
Information is supplied by each golf course that is signed up to lateTtimes. There will be a description of the course and facilities and a photo of the course. It is the responsibility of the golf club to supply this information correctly.
Can I cancel the booking after I have made it?
You can cancel the booking after you have made it. The 10% deposit you have paid is non refundable unless it is due to ‘course closed/exceptional circumstances’ (see terms & conditions). LateTtimes follows a 24 hour cancellation period. LateTtimes requires a minimum of a 24 hour cancellation notice to the actual tee time in order for lateTtimes to inform the golf club so they can readvertise the time. If you wish to cancel your booking please email contact@latettimes to inform us.
Will I receive my deposit back if I cancel the booking?
The 10% deposit is a non refundable deposit with the exception of ‘course closure/exceptional circumstances’ (see terms & conditions).
How do I pay the golf course?
You pay the golf course the remaining 90% of the greenfee on arrival, before you tee off. If you are concerned about payment method at the golf course it is your responsibility to phone ahead to find out their preferred payment method.
Will I receive booking confirmation from lateTtimes about the chosen course?
Once you have completed the booking on www.lateTtimes.co.uk, a confirmation message will be in 'my orders' in your account. This will include the date, time and chosen golf course of your booking, as well as the remaining balance due to the golf course and a booking reference number. The golf club you are playing at will also receive confirmation of the booking with lead name of the booking, a booking number and the remaining balance. Please take a copy of this confirmation with you to the golf club as proof of booking.
How do I pay the deposit?
You pay the deposit to lateTtimes at the end of the booking process. The payment gateway is through Paypal.
What credit card can I use to pay for the tee time?
All major credit and debit cards are accepted.
What will appear on my credit card statement?
LateTtimes Ltd will appear on your credit card statement.
How do I know if I bought the tee time?
Once you have completed the payment process and it has been accepted, there will be confirmation of this booking in 'my orders' in your account.
Can I change the booking?
If you require to change the date or time of the booking please contact us as soon as possible at contact@latettimes.co.uk. LateTtimes cannot change the time or date of the booking set by a golf club without firstly getting in touch with the golf club. Once you have contacted us we will on your behalf speak to the golf club you have booked at to try to make any amendments to your booking that you require. It is at the club’s discretion whether any amendments will be made.
Can I add more players to my booked tee time?
There may be the possibly to add more players to a tee time. Please see section 7 in terms and conditions.
Privacy and Security
Will I get junk emails?
You will not get junk email from supplying your details to lateTtimes. Please see ‘Privacy Policy’ for further details.
How secure is Paypoint?
One of the reasons we choose Paypal as our payment gateway is because of their excellent security. For more information please check out www.paypal.com
How secure is the information I give to lateTtimes?
Please see ‘Privacy statement’. Payment details are not held by lateTtimes Ltd as all payments are through our payment gateway, Paypal. For more information please contact www.paypal.com
Weather Policy
What happens if the course has temporary tees or greens?
If the course has temporary tees or greens this information should be supplied by the golf club and found in the information supplied by the golf club when booking a tee time. We feel that temporary tees or greens are part of golf and therefore an accepted part of play. If you have a doubt that temporary tees and greens are being used and this is not stated by the golf club please contact the golf club direct. Please also email contact@latettimes.co.uk to let us know if this proves to be true.
It is the golf club’s responsibility to supply the correct information about the golf course when booking the tee time. LateTtimes will not take any responsibility for incorrect information supplied by the golf club although we do continually monitor information supplied and phone the golf courses on a regular basis to check information supplied is correct.
What happens if the course is closed?
If the course is closed due to ‘inclement weather or exceptional circumstance’ (see terms and conditions) your deposit will be refunded by lateTtimes to the same credit card used when booking. It is your responsibility to contact lateTtimes at contact@latettimes.co.uk to inform us of the course closure. When we have received contact from you we will directly contact the golf club to confirm this. Once we have confirmation your deposit will be refunded within 14 days.
Will I be contacted if the course is closed?
It is not the responsibility of lateTtimes to contact you if the course is closed and therefore will not contact you if the course is closed. Check with the golf course to see if they have a course closure policy where they call you. If not, it is your responsibility to contact the golf course on the day of play to see if the course is closed.
Will I be refunded if the course is closed?
In some circumstances the golf club may offer you a change of date or time, completely at their discretion. If no change of date or time is offered or accepted and the course is closed as the terms and conditions state then lateTtimes will refund your deposit.
